We’re Sam & Sofia, and we help you travel better without spending more.

We are full-time remote travelers, but before that, we were two highly-driven Londoners obsessed with maximizing every minute and every penny of our vacation time.

Our mission is to provide high-authority, practical guides on the best things to eat and drink around the world, helped by our unique insider expertise and a financial hacking mindset.

What we actually do.

This site exists because we spent years figuring out systems that worked. Travel hacking with air miles and points, Airbnb arbitrage that covered our hotels, cashback strategies that discounted our flights – and we wanted to share them.

Now that we travel full-time (we left London at the start of 2025), we write detailed guides on where to eat and drink around the world, and how to afford getting there.

Why listen to us about food and drink?

This isn’t a hobby blog where we wandered into tourism. We’ve spent our entire careers in the food and beverage industry:

• Sofia as a Commercial Director in the F&B sector launched and scaled food and drink brands you’ve probably heard of. She knows what trends will stick and what won’t. She has worked with century-old heritage brands and knows what authenticity looks like.
  
• Sam spent over 15 years in the London hospitality industry, opening and operating successful bars and restaurants including a Michelin Guide-recognized restaurant and a Restaurant & Bar Design Award-winning venue. He uses his operational knowledge to find the authentic hidden gems and guide you through local scenes.

Combined, this gives us a perspective most travel bloggers don’t have. We don’t just find great food & drink and venues. We understand why they are great.

Full-Time Travel & Our Story

We met working in the London craft beer scene, but our passion for exploration started long before. After falling in love with the hospitality industry in Australia, Sam went on an epic overland odyssey from Kuala Lumpur to Moscow on his way back to Britain. And Sofia fell in love with country-hopping on a summer in Europe after graduating in Toronto. Now, after years of maximizing London-based holidays, we are traveling and working remotely full-time.

Sofia writes the majority of our blog posts and detailed guides. Sam is the photographer (and occasional writer) who captures the incredible places we travel to. We know what it takes to plan, budget, and execute both short, intense holiday sprints and sustained nomadic life.
